Regesta’s commitment to sports continues. In addition to golf, rugby and basketball, the Brescia-based ERP software company also promotes winter sports, particularly skiing. An activity that has many fans throughout Italy and is part of the cultural and sporting tradition of the Lombardy valleys. For several years, in fact, Regesta has been sponsoring the A.S. 10 association, a small amateur organization that has made days in the clear air of the mountain peaks a recreation, a passion and a reason to measure oneself through an amused competitive spirit.
The traditional giant slalom among friends, in which several Regesta members also participate, is called “We with them” and is set in the Ponte di Legno/Tonale ski area. An articulated set of slopes that, with the extension of new tracks in recent years, has nothing to envy the circuits in South Tyrol. Participating in the challenge are some former professional athletes who have competed in the World Cup in the past: for ski enthusiasts it is an opportunity to see the technique of the “old” glories up close.
The usual race is held in the spring period. In 2014 due to adverse weather conditions it did not take off, leaving the many entrants with the desire to get their skis on soon for the next occasion.
Regesta is close to the world of sports, from which it draws some of the values that have enabled it over the years to grow in the world of ERP, particularly SAP software, in the Italian corporate landscape.
