An attack from three fronts. For the Italian wire-drawing industry, the second half of 2022 proved to be fraught with pitfalls, with a market struggling on the demand side, with pressure on purchase prices, and with high energy prices driving up processing costs. How is the industry responding to these challenges? What are the prospects for 2023? And what are the expectations in terms of budget, after a positive 2021?

These will be the main topics of the conference “Energy, prices and demand: triple challenge for wire mills,” organized by siderweb in collaboration with the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce. The event, which is the second Bilanci d’Acciaio 2022 event after the national presentation on Oct. 27, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. Greetings from Emanuele Morandi (siderweb) and Lorenzo Riva (Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce) will open the proceedings.

Also speaking during the event will be our President Francesco Brunelli.

The day will close with the presentation of the “Steel Balance Sheet” award for the drawing sector.
