State Career Day: face to face with one’s future
Tomorrow at the secretariats on Via San Faustino graduates and undergraduates will be able to come into close contact with the world of work. Representatives of companies and business realities will not be missing
Until a few years ago, it was very easy to find a job after graduation. Today this is no longer the case: the economic crisis bites companies and new hires are increasingly rare. One secret to entering the job market is to know what figures are wanted and, above all, to get in touch with productive realities. To this end, tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the State University campus, the appointment with Career Day will be renewed for the fourth year, an opportunity for companies and undergraduates and graduates of the University of Brescia to meet and compare notes. In fact, during the day it will be possible to personally meet the managers of the participating companies and institutions, as the job orientation services offered by Statale will be presented and it will be possible to meet the operators of the Orientation, Internship, Placement services and get some useful advice on the active job search. The day will begin at9 a.m. with a welcome for participants, then at 9:15 a.m. the job orientation services will be presented. Afterwards, Professor Maurizio Carpita will speak on the topic, “Graduate profession: what job opportunities for Brescia graduates in times of crisis?” Space will then be given to interviews and booth visits. To register for Career Day, it is necessary to fill out the online form, available on the website www. unibs.it. New this year is the opportunity to participate in job interview preparation seminars, conducted by the cultural association Ardega. The seminars last one and a half hours and are aimed at small groups of students. Therefore, places are limited and will be assigned according to the order in which registrations are submitted. Undergraduates and graduates who have booked by selecting the relevant entry within the Career Day online registration form will receive a confirmation email with the time and classroom where the seminar will be held. The companies that have joined Career Day 2012 are: A2A, Accenture, Alten Italia, Automazioni industriali Capitanio, Business integration partners, Calzedonia, Cameo, Cavagna group, Deloitte, Fedabo, Ghial, Gkn, Guber, Kpmg, Intelco, Metelli, Pietro Fiorentini, Pwc, Regesta, Tenaris, Terme di Sirmione, Trw, Ubi Banca, Viessmann. Interested undergraduates can find out about the companies present at the Career Day by checking the forms available on the State University website: www.unibs.it. It is good to show up to the meetings having your cv and a cover letter with you. It will also be possible to ask questions to members of the associations present: State University Alumni, Lombardy notaries union association,Communedi Brescia Informagiovani service, Young Engineers of Brescia, Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, Order of Engineers of the Province of Brescia, Provincial Order of Work Consultants, Province of Brescia Youth Service and Eurodesk.
