BRESCIA: “What sets Regesta apart from other IT consulting firms? The speed of the approach to problem solving, the security of consulting over time, but above all the mission, which is to be of support to small and medium-sized enterprises in transforming information systems from a “necessary evil” to a successful competitive factor.” These are perhaps the secrets behind the entrepreneurial success of Regesta, an IT consulting company that was founded only in2007inBrescia by the initiative of four young professionals (later to become immediately six) and that since then has maintained an enviable growth rate, with an average of 7 to 8 young graduates hired each year (especially management engineers but also business graduates). Today the company-which since last January has been headquartered in Via Oberdan in Brescia, in the hexagonal tower owned by the Lucchini group-has 40 employees, joined by 6 permanent staff members; it is led by six professionals: Francesco Brunelli (president) andFrancesco Nassini (economics graduates), flanked by engineers Giorgio Grazioli, Alessandro Vistali, Valentino Paderni and Stefano Pagliarini. Implementing Sap management systems:this is Regesta’s core business. Sap is the software adopted by more than183 thousand companies in more than 25 countries worldwide (the company that designed it is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Nyse) and offers applications for managing the administrative, commercial, logistics and production areas. In Italy the system is used by more than 3,500 companies, of which more than60 percent belong to small and medium-sized enterprises. “We are certainly not the only consulting company present inLombardy,” Brunelli explains, “but due to the personal history of the partners, mentality and professional culture, we have developed a territorial model in real tune with the actual needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, while also maintaining our presence in large international projects, privileged observers of the signs of change and innovative organizational models. Regesta operates in the metal sector, where it counts among its clients some of the most important companies in the Italian metallurgical and iron and steel industry (the Arvedi of Cremona, Eredi Gnutti, Metalprint, Metalli Capra, to name only the main ones, stand out); but also in the chemical, electromechanical, and automotive sectors. “Among our clients there are many companies from Brescia and Lombardy that are facing the internationalization process and need consulting to apply management models in foreign production or commercial branches,” Brunelli explains. “In Brescia, as in Russia, Brazil, China. Regesta follows and helps companies in Brescia to monitor and govern their foreign subsidiaries.”
