Regesta for steel enterprises
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS DESIGN
More and more Brescian is speaking in the design of IT systems for steel companies. A group of IT consultants is working in the city, at Regesta’s headquarters, specializing in the installation of Sap “made in Germany,” and is capturing slices of the market with an average growth rate from 2007 to the present of 15 percent per year.
Including management engineers, mathematicians, statisticians and economists, 60 staff members now work at Regesta, 70 percent of whom are college graduates with an average age of 34.
Reach. Although the company’s reach has now expanded to several sectors including automotive (25 percent), mechanical engineering (12 percent), and plastics (15 percent), it still sees its focus area in metallurgy, which accounts for 37 percent of its overall operations. Operations that has gradually broadened its horizons to the whole world. Major partnerships include Arvedi of Cremona, Carlo Gnutti of Chiari, Almag of Roncadelle, Eredi Gnutti of Brescia, and the Lucchini group.
Acquisition. In the early months of this year, the via Oberdan group also acquired the company Themis, the vanguard of “business intelligence,” an application for transforming data into information useful for understanding company profitability, anticipating market trends, and “managing demand variability.” “Our job is to install the management software,” President Francesco Brunelli explained, “adapting it to the specifics of our clients and, above all, enhancing their strengths. Thanks to the effectiveness of a young and competent staff, and of course to the quality of the Sap product, we are able to intervene efficiently in many industries. With the installation of our system, every company can manage and measure all processes, from sales to production, from quality control to plant maintenance management, from administration and finance to management control. Information systems have become an indispensable factor for the competitiveness and success of every company.”
At the helm of Regesta – which will be present at Made in Steel and who will hold the May 22 at 1:30 p.m. the conference “Smart and business management in metal with the Sap platform” -there are Giorgio Grazioli, Francesco Nassini, Valentino Paderni, Stefano Pagliarini, Alessandro Vistali, and of course President Brunelli. Regesta’s 2014 turnover was 4 million euros. 2015 is expected to exceed 4.5 million. // F.A.
